Shocking video about the ravages that war causes in a girl's life

The video is part of a Save the Children campaign that aims to raise awareness about the ravages that war causes in a girl's life. The images are shocking, I advance it. They show every second as if it were a day in the life of an English girl, but it refers to the war in Syria, and concludes with a message that leaves us ice cream: "Just because this is not happening here, does not mean it does not happen" .

It begins with the birthday of the girl, moments of a normal life as it should be that of any child, and suddenly in a blink of an eye the scenario changes radically. The normal gives rise to fear, bombs, darkness, bewilderment and the need to flee your home. He turns his birthday again, but this time his celebration is very different, much sadder.

We are touched to see a photo as tremendous as that of little Aylam, 3 years old, drowned on the shore of a beach in Turkey, but it is only a summary of the suffering of thousands of children, without understanding why they are fleeing their homes, living hardships, poverty and many even lose their lives trying to reach Europe.

According to the UN, more than 200,000 people died in Syria. Of every one hundred dead, 27 are children and there are at least four million displaced people who seek to flee from war and pain.

No, it doesn't happen here, but it could. Especially at this time when we feel so vulnerable after what happened in Paris, we must not forget those who suffer most, children, innocent (and unacceptable) victims of war.
