Youtubers parents lose custody of two of their children for mistreating them with heavy jokes

On YouTube we can find many things. And not all good, even some very despicable that are not made by teenagers, but by a mother and a father, Heather and Mike Martin, whose children were victims of jokes that are too heavy, humiliation and abuse.

DaddyoFive (dad of five) is the family channel composed of these parents and five children between 10 and 17 years old (Jake, Ryan, Alex, Emma and Cody). After being denounced for uploading videos in which abuse was common to Cody, nine, and his sister Emma, 11, the parents lost custody of their two youngest children.

Now the only video that is posted on the channel is the apology of the parents, who due to the pressure of Internet users were taken to court. These have returned custody of Cody and Emma (fruit of an old relationship of another woman, Rosie Hall, with Mike Martin) to his biological mother.

In the video (which was removed) they apologize and explain:

"What started as fun and family entertainment took on a life of its own. Before we knew it, we were captured by the popularity of our family and it led us to some bad decisions. As we reflect, we realize that there were mistakes that caused some pain to our family We offer our most humble and sincere apology to those whom we have offended, particularly our wonderful children Our children are safe Outside the chamber they are normal, happy children who play sports and love being with their family and friends Thank you for your understanding as we go through this difficult time, "

Abuse and abuse disguised as jokes

In the videos you could see how the parents incited their children to violence, causing the elders to hit the little ones or accusing their children of things they had not done to see their desperate reaction. Also break the console to Cody, the main objective of the "jokes", or situations in which violence, abuse, shouting and crying They ended up being the daily tonic.

Among other "pearls" you can see the mother say to her children "I don't like you" or warn them to pack their bags because they will be given up for adoption.

In the following video you can find a compilation of jokes (if you can call them that) in which Cody is the victim. At one point, the boy looks at the camera and tells viewers "you are seeing how they mistreat me every day and you are not doing anything to get me out of here."

The root of the complaint

Hall, the children's biological mother had denounced the case last October in North Carolina, but the complaint did not prosper. The case began to be heard when youtuber Philip De Franco (with 5.3 million subscribers) publicly denounced the DaddyOFive channel for the abuse suffered by children in exchange for increasing the number of subscribers.

Following this complaint, the Child Protection Service opened an investigation and thanks to crowdfunding, the children's biological mother was able to afford a lawyer. At the moment, as an emergency measure, children meet her in Maryland while the investigations last.

Although Heather and Mike Martin apologized and say that everything was ready, that the children knew at all times that they were jokes, They have withdrawn their two youngest children. And it's no joke.
