I just wanted to be radiant ... Yes, as they promise you on the covers of all those magazines ... Well, I am clear: pregnancy is disgusting.
This is how this begins Romantic comedy based on the best-selling book about pregnancy, "What can you expect when you are waiting", which I commented widely on Blank Paper.
The film, whose original title refers to this work (What to expect when you're expecting) describes in a humorous way the relationship of four couples about to know paternity and with all the feelings involved to the surface.
Recall that "What can you expect when you are waiting" (by Heidi Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg and Sandee Hathaway) was chosen as one of the 25 most influential books of the last 25 years in the United States. It has been read by 93% of pregnant women in that country, where it is considered the bible of pregnancy, and more than twenty million copies have been sold worldwide.
With the humorous approach to the movie, and from what we have seen in the trailer, the comedy will surely look more like parody about the bible of the pregnant women, "The unexpected when you are waiting", where the truths of pregnancy are told, without bogging down, the most and the least known.
The film features performances by Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker, Chace Crawford, Dennis Quaid and Rodrigo Santoro. I found the trailer quite funny, although it touches on topical issues, but we see very different couples, different concepts of fatherhood and motherhood, and promises laughter when we feel identified in many situations we experience during pregnancy.
We hope to see the movie "What can you expect when you are waiting", which opens next week in Spain, and tell you in detail our impressions.
