Gameplay 2014: how are toys made ?, Mutant Busters, and more ...

Yesterday, the 5th edition of theramarama was held, which is the annual study on children and toys carried out by Famosa. The theme that was chosen for the occasion is “the process of manufacturing a toy”From the original idea until it reaches the impatient little hands of the children.

The event that served to present the gameplay data, revolved around this concept: turn illusions into realities, as if it were magic. And is that not all wizards will have all those people dedicated body and soul to the manufacture of toys?

The CEO of Famosa said that "to get to the idea you need inspiration, know what children want, imagination, and study trends" (a challenge, no doubt). To reach a prototype that passes quality and safety controls (almost, almost, before scale production), there must be a sketch and a three-dimensional design

And after the prototype? Then there is still a lot of work to do: the design and production of the molds that shape the plastic, the molding, cutting and coloring of it ... and to the assembly line! 18 months later the distribution will be complete, and Santa Claus will be going down the chimney on Christmas Night; or perhaps those 18 months culminate with the furtive visit of a page of the Magi to the balcony of the house.

Everyone who was in Gamerama yesterday discovered what the entire production process is like of the Mutant Busters action dolls ”, a toy aimed at children between seven and eight years old.

It is a new line of figures that allows children to develop skills not only related to the game, but also to have the first contact with new technologies through the brand's own website, interactive games and applications for mobile devices. In this process, and in addition to the idea, the development of the 32 figures that make up the Mutant Bustes has been key as well as the creation of the complete scenarios that give dimension to the toy. These figures have passed all quality and safety controls and they have been presented in the main international fairs of the toy sector (Hong Kong, Nuremberg and London).
