Babyfood, a new community project to monitor infant feeding

Babyfood It is a new project that is financed by the European Union with the mission of investigating all those chemical substances that are found in infant feeding, in products for children under 1 year old, which are marketed.

The new project is headquartered in the National Center for Environmental and Health Research in Germany and will investigate the relationship between chemicals and the hormonal system of babies. The investigation is of paramount importance, especially when the feeding of the small ones is constituted by products of formula and products prepared with chemical residues, of which the repercussions in the organism of the small ones are not known. This is really good, isn't a product analyzed and studied conscientiously when it is destined to feed the little ones? Isn't it supposed that if it is in the market, it is because it has the approval and the approval of the European Union? As we deduce, some products have been launched to the market without knowing for sure if they could pose a risk to babies, hence a project is now created to solve the situation.

The chemistry contained in infant feeding can affect in a different way an already developed organism (adult) or a baby whose immune, respiratory or nervous system is still in the maturation phase. Toxins that may contain these products may be harmful and may not be eliminated by the body of babies. Some chemicals act in the same way that human hormones would and interact with cells, specifically with their receptors, in the long run this action could cause some health problems.

The new project will try to clarify the risks and possible problems that babies may suffer as a result of their feeding, for this, all kinds of tests will be carried out with different control groups to which different nutritional preparations will be provided. We find the new project very interesting and necessary to guarantee with greater certainty the quality and safety of food for babies, hopefully the tests do not harm them.
