Grandma's love: he didn't rest until he found for his grandson the same stuffed animal his son had when he was a baby

Grandparents are very special beings in a child's life. As a granddaughter that I was and now as a mother that I am, I know and continue to live the strong imprint they leave in childhood, living it when I was a child and witnessing it now that my mother is my daughter's grandmother.

The love of grandparents is a different one from that of parents, born not only of the heart, but of experience. Today I share the story of a grandmother, who Waiting for his first grandson, he decided that he would look for and buy the same stuffed animal that his son used when he was a baby, 29 years ago.

How many times have we not read stories about the special thing that can become a stuffed animal for a child? From desperate parents looking for the favorite doll of their children and who has been forgotten on a trip, to moving stories where social networks go to the search for lost stuffed animals that are missed by their small owners.

Although what I will share today is not exactly a lost stuffed animal, I could go into those wonderful stories in which a doll becomes something very special for a whole family, in this case, that of Nick Hollinger.

Through a post on Reddit, Nick shared a photograph showing two stuffed animals of the same giraffe in cute colors: one, the oldest, is the one he received at Christmas 29 years ago, and the second, the one his mother bought for his grandson, Nick's son.

But the picture has an incredible story behind it, because according to Nick, "Fraffy" the giraffe was not a stuffed animal anymore. For him, It was the first stuffed animal he received when he was a baby, and that accompanied him for many years of his life and during very important events.

For example, when Nick was 12 years old and his family moved from Washington to Chicago, "Fraffy" accompanied him on the move: "He was with me, assuring me that everything would work out well when studying high school in a new state. He stayed as my nap companion, for a few more years, hiding in the blankets when my friends came to visit home", Nick says.

Years later, when Nick was about to get married, his mother found his old friend while ordering some things at home, and asked if he wanted to keep it. He asked him to keep it and stay together, just as he had done for so many years.

At the time, a Christmas in which Nick and his wife were waiting for their first baby, they received a special package from their mother. He tells that her eyes were shining when Nick was opening the gift, and to his surprise, it was a completely new "Flaffy", to accompany his son when he was born.

Because the toy was old, it was not easy for the future grandmother to find it. According to Nick, his mother was trying to find him on eBay for a while and was even in several online auctions until he managed to get it and buy it for his grandson.

Now, Nick's son has the same stuffed animal, who was a very special companion during his father's childhood, and that he has definitely become much more valuable and important, with the tender history he has within his family.
