Every day that passes I have clearer. Children come to the world to teach parents and not vice versa. The children are our teachers. This video of the Swiss diaper brand Liberto shows it to us.
We strive to make them learn to be as we want them to be, to make them suffer often without needing to learn that life is hard and that the world is an inhospitable place where anyone can betray you to which you turn your back.
We want them to learn that you can't have everything they want and we think that the worse they spend it now the more they will adapt to the future that awaits them. However, as I say, I think the story should be the other way around. I agree that the society in which we live is not as precious and bucolic as we would like, but we are wrong to want to teach our children to conform to it as if it were something immovable or irreparable because They have the power to form a different society.
The children come with the counter to zero, full of goodness and desire to live. They are our opportunity to change and they are the ones who have to teach us to be better people, more responsible and committed to the rest, more sincere and humble. It is up to us to be prepared to listen and learn.
