How to make a mouse for Pocoyo's home computer

A few days ago we explained how to make a Pocoyo home computer with a box of Dodot wipes and many readers commented that it would be nice to have a mouse.

After some ideas in the comments I began to look for something at home that could be used to make a mouse at the height of the technology offered on the computer. In the end I found the perfect object: a box of Smint (tachán!).

He Pocoyo mouse It consists of a lower part, with 4 non-slip rubber bands and a red LED (the mouse is optical and has a resolution of 1200 dpi) and a top part decorated with the character in question. In this upper part we find three buttons. The right and the left are offered by the template. The central button is in the same Smint box, it is white and has a large "S" in the center, which means that it is the "Super Pocoyo" mouse.

Necessary material:

  • Smint box
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Computer and printer
  • Glue stick
  • Cord or rope, about 20-25 cm (I used an elastic band)
  • Template

Instructions

We print the template. To do this, just do click In the image below to enlarge, zoom in so that the template appears complete and click on "Print" in our browser ("File / Print" menu or by pressing "Ctrl + P").

There, we already have our housing Pocoyo mouse printed.

We cut both parts of the paper and glue them to the box.

We tie a knot to each end of the cord.

We connect the cord (or cable) to the mouse. Simply lower the mouse connector by pressing the central button ("Super Pocoyo") and insert the cable into it (beware of the polarity of the cable, if you make a mistake you could burn the mouse and computer circuits).

Then we connect the other end of the cable to the computer. It is enough to open it (sorry, I know that by opening it the warranty is lost, but it is done like this, or the mouse does not work), connect the other end of the cable and that's it. To play!
