Live "The Pirate Adventure" on weekends in Cartagena

Finally it is weekend and precisely for these days of rest we propose a new activity. In Cartagena, Murcia, we can enjoy "Pirate Adventure" as a family, an exhibition at the Christmas Fort, where the Interpretive Center of Defensive Architecture of Cartagena and the Mediterranean is located.

The show, set in a pirate tavern, is made up of model ships that will explain the history of piracy from ancient times to the present day. The little ones with their families will be able to know the world of piracy through theatrical workshops and visits weekends.

  • On Saturdays the theatrical visit "The Pirate on boarding" will take place. Starring the pirate Barbarroja, he will move visitors on a journey full of adventures and exploits, revealing the enigmas of his brotherhood and the codes used by pirates. It will take place every Saturday, until December 8, at 12:00 noon, with departure in the Tourist Boat of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, from the Royal Port Scale.

  • At workshop "The treasure hunt", children will become true pirates, demonstrating their courage and courage. To do this they will have to pass tests and riddles of a true sea lion and thus become part of the pirate brotherhood. It will take place every Sunday, until December 9, at 12:00 noon, also with departure on the tourist boat of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.

The exhibition fee and the theatrical visit, including the tourist boat is 8 euros (6 euros in reduced rate). The price of the children's workshop on Sundays is 6 euros, and also includes the tourist boat.

Surely, after these visits, the little ones will know why those characters that have become mythical and that have inspired multiple novels, comics or movies ... The families that accompany the children to the workshop can make a guided tour of the exhibition.

This sample has Chinese, Egyptian and Phoenician ships, to explain piracy in the classical world. The Golden Age of Piracy will be explained through Spanish galleons, French galleys and English ships.

And as times have changed but not so much, piracy today will also be explained through modern ships. Weapons videos and exhibits complete this tour.

The theatrical visit and children's workshops of La Pirate Adventure are held in Cartagena Until 9 December. The exhibition schedule is from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
