Girls like toy brands for boys

In the research firm Smarty Pants of Jonesborough (Tennessee / United States), they are experts in family and youth. They have recently completed a study whose results are titled 'Girls becoming fans of boy brands'.

The data obtained reveal that girls are attracted to brands associated with boys like Lego, Beyblade or Batman. Children from 6 to 12 years old participated in the study, and questions about a total of 250 brands were included. The research is called 'The Young Annual Love' and has been chosen a representative sample of 4600 children and their parents. The awareness of brands aimed at children, popularity and affinity have been studied.

Apparently, parents do not usually discourage the choice of girls, and this makes me happy because it denotes that the parents know how to 'skip' gender expectations in an activity that belongs almost exclusively to the children's world as is the game.

In my opinion, girls tend to be more versatile when playing because they can play dolls with their friends, and also integrate into a group with almost exclusive presence of boys, to negotiate rules and practice coexistence ... and all in the same afternoon .

I think The most important thing is that they know how to choose according to their needs and preferences, and that nobody tells them if they should prefer action figures or babies to those who walk. The game belongs to children, and if they do not develop this activity spontaneously they also have no chance of completing this important human facet.

Thus, the brands that are growing in popularity among girls are Lego, Batman and Superman, followed by Cartoon Network and three other brands of boys: Beyblade, the Madden NFL football league and Hot Wheels

The growing success of girls' interest in Lego is most likely due to Lego Friends. And this is very curious because it is not indicating an interest in boy toys, since It is designed for more 'feminine' tastes.

In any case, I am not surprised that some girls (or many) prefer tops, superheroes and others. Is that beyond dolls, tea sets and shops, toys for girls are too pink, or they focus too much on personal image, and become bland.
