DIY: turn your children's towels into funny monsters

Today we bring a very simple craft or DIY to turn your children's towels into funny monsters. Being an activity that we can do all together, they can take the opportunity to design their own monster and thus be very clear about their towel.

What are we going to need?

The main thing will be a set of towels, at least one per child. In this tutorial, more than towels you can see that they are rags or what in my house were called "bidet towels" but it is used to decorate any size. - Hot melt interlining, the one that sticks when applying heat with the iron. - Pieces of fabrics of different colors according to the type of monster we are going to represent, white, black, blue, red, pink, etc. - An iron - A sewing machine - Paper and markers to make sketches.

We already have everything. So, what can we do now?

The first thing will be to design the different monsters on the paper to see which one we stay with and once we have it clear we will divide the hot melt fabric into two parts and move on to draw the eyes and teeth on one side, then the mouth and eyes in the other side. Read the instructions on the web to know on which side we should draw. Place the fabric on your work surface. Press to eliminate wrinkles. Place the mouth and eyes on the black cloth and the eyes and teeth of the white cloth and iron. Cut out all the shapes.

Place one of the towels on the work surface. Start with the eyes. Turn and remove the protective paper from the hot melt as if it were a sticker. Place your eyes on the towel and iron them to secure. Then with the sewing machine we will outline the edges. Once finished we will continue with the mouth, the pupils of the eyes, the teeth and we will finish with the rest of the things that we wanted to add.

Remember, they are towels for them so let them use their imagination. Surely it will be a fun experience to spend with your children and do not worry if it is not too good, surely your children will be very proud to have unique towels. You can be encouraged to "tune" the beach.
