The fragility of the premature baby according to Anne Geddes

She is known for perfectly capturing the sweetness transmitted by the little ones and in this case she has collaborated with the March of Dimes, an organization of which she is an ambassador, to show the fragility of the premature baby.

In 1993, Anne Geddes photographed little Maneesha in the hands of her father, a baby of just one kilo born at 28 weeks gestation, the day she had been disconnected from all the medical machinery.

Twenty-one years later, Anne wanted to follow the tradition and photographed little Alfred curled up in the hand of a sculpture inspired by those of Leonardo Da Vinci.

The photograph was taken in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney Australia, where Alfred was born 8 weeks before term with just over a kilo of weight and remained several weeks until he was discharged.

The one you see above will be the official image for the World Premature Day campaign to be held on November 17 promoted by the March of Dimes, an organization whose goal is to help mothers around the world have full-term pregnancies and healthy newborns.

It represents fragility and strength They have these little great fighters born too early to fight for their lives.
