Marie Curie, radio activity is the fourth comic in the scientific collection

In Peques and More we follow with great interest the challenge of Jordi Bayarri to approach the history of science to the little ones and now, after the three previous scientists, it's the turn of Marie Curie. It is the fourth volume of the collection and is dedicated to this Polish scientist who discovered the polonium and the radio, and that he won the Nobel Prize twice, that of physics and chemistry. In addition, the book presents her as one of the women who remained in the front row of scientific research sharing knowledge with some of the most important scientists in the history of physics of the twentieth century.

The comic is colored by Daniel Seijas and the drawings of Jordi Bayarri they present a brave young woman eager to learn, who with a lot of effort and sacrifice graduated in physics and met her husband, Pierre Curie with which he performed numerous experiments. In addition, the book shows some of the applications of radioactivity such as the use of X-rays to detect wounds in soldiers fighting in the First World War. The comic includes the usual sketches gallery and has the supervision of Tayra MC Lanuza Navarro to ensure historical and scientific accuracy.

The publication of Marie Curie has been made possible thanks to the support of patron that we contribute through the web of Throw us and that we will continue supporting, because Jordi anticipates the next volume dedicated to Ramón y Cajal. In the meantime I recommend the rest of the works that can also be purchased through the typical libraries accessible on the Internet.

And above all I hope they are part of the school libraries as reference books and of science discovery among elementary and middle school students.
