Did you have any problems with maternity leave? the question of the week

We know that maternity leave in this country leaves a lot to be desired with what WHO and other agencies recommend, but even so, many times employers are in pain or trouble when applying for leave or when they return.

Today we want to know if you have suffered any of these practices both at the time of requesting the withdrawal, and once you returned to return.

Did you have any problems with maternity leave?

Last week we asked you: Did you give birth like princesses do? to see what you told us about it.

My answer is yes. Being the time of delivery first was not something that worried me though, as everyone wanted everything to go well. I already knew that I did not want epidural but I had signed consents for what might happen. Total, since I entered until my daughter was born it was less than two hours (at home I was only half an hour with contractions and I already saw that I had to go to the hospital already), I was treated by two midwives and pushed at my pace and posture that I wanted I was admitted 2 days like all but I was great. If I have more children, I hope everything will be the same again, I don't ask for better :)

hello everyone !! Well, in my case, yes! I had been so scared of people with the issue of contraction pain that I was at home with contractions telling my husband that it was not childbirth, so people were saying that I had to die almost hahaha. So when I started to lose, we went to the hospital. Result: in half an hour I had my baby, with epidural included, which is something I don't understand, because I read many comments that tell you that he doesn't have time to put it on.

Well, the truth is that it looks pretty haha. Except in leaving the same day, they didn't let me. I had a delivery that went ahead 11 days, the duration was 1.30hr. Come on, so fast that neither my husband could arrive, nor could they put the epidural. It is true that having no epidural, no oxytocin or intervention (only the midwife and a nurse was with me) I had a quick recovery, that same day I was up, and if they had left me I would have left because I was fed up with certain passing visits All day there. But they told me that the boy should stay 24hr to discharge him so I stayed… obviously.

I believe that as every human being is afraid of the unknown, so many women even opt for a caesarean to not feel that pain, they run away! I must confess that I felt fear with my first birth, but the information was my more lethal weapon, and prepare psychologically for the hardest time, without epidural, in my country Guatemala we have no option to request it in social security, but what was my surprise, it is an immense pain but it comforts to know that you were able to support it, It is tolerable, if it is! and not as many told me, I'm surprised to know that the princess opted for this natural method, I really didn't know we had something in common. magnificent!!
  • Now the new question for this week is now available and remember that you have a week to answer it Please do so in the "Answers" section and not responding to this entry. I know that I repeat myself, but if you answer here we can not take them into account for next week.
