It's a fact: newborns will be able to enroll directly in the hospital

Congress approved it yesterday and it is a fact. Great news for all of you who are going to be parents as of October 15 because you will no longer have to go to the Civil Registry to register your child (as still needs to be done), but that Newborns may enroll directly in the hospital.

The process to be done when a baby is born deserves a separate post, because there is no right to spend the first days of a child with paperwork from one place to another. Therefore, avoiding at least one step and taking advantage of the time we are in the hospital after birth is appreciated.

The reform establishes the electronic processing of births and deaths from the health centers, so parents and family will no longer have to go to the Civil Registry to carry out both procedures.

The doctors will be responsible for identifying the baby and certifying their maternal affiliation (they already do this through a paper that is usually yellow and is known as a medical part of the delivery). Then, the parents, together with the doctors who have attended the birth, will sign the official declaration form that will be incorporated into the previous one.

The health centers will be responsible for sending all this documentation to the Civil Registry within 72 hours from birth.

Finally, good news. One less obligation that the recent father will have (in general, the father does) who can enjoy a little more time, between processing and processing, with the newborn.

You just need to know how you can apply for the birth certificate and collect the family book, I think that here you will not be saved from going to the Registry, because then for almost all the procedures (health care, ID, etc.) must be submitted.
