Today is the International Day of the Elderly and to celebrate it we have wanted to bring you several images that show the greatest contrast in terms of age within families, that of newborn babies, or children, with their great-grandmothers, already in the last years of their life, with luck ( both) to know each other, having two generations involved.
The first story we tell you is that of the two "women" you see above. Is the precious moment in which a 92 year old woman meets her great granddaughter of only 2 days. Beautiful and exciting. They excite me, but they grieve me, when I think they are aware that they won't be able to see their great grandchildren grow up. They know them, they see them as children, but so many things will be lost ... Now, being honest, it is normal and the law of life. Maybe we should put it another way: they are lucky to meet their great grandchildren, which is something that not all older people can say.
The story of the "women" on the cover
The great grandmother's name is Millie, is 92 years old, and his grandson Scott decided to capture the moment his grandmother met Penelope, his 2-day-old daughter, in what he came to tell the Huffington Post as "one of the happiest days of my life". And is that those who have special affection for their grandparents would surely want them to meet their children.
