One of the greatest joys of having a family is being able to gather all around the table enjoying the conversation and the company, while enjoying dishes that we all like. One of those simple and practical recipes is the one we propose today: a beef tenderloin with honey, soy and mustard roasted in a bag to avoid staining.

It is a recipe with a very simple elaboration, and with an impeccable result, that everyone always likes. The only precaution, cook the meat to the desired point, and finish browning it with the sauce, -and on the plate-, to the taste of each diner.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 1 piece of sirloin, about 1,200 g, (better from the top that is wider and juicy to roast), 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and a tablespoon of mustard, salt and pepper dessert .
  • For the garnish, 2 potatoes and an onion, herbs, 30 ml of white wine, 20 ml of olive oil, salt

How to make beef tenderloin with honey, soy and mustard roasted in the bag

The best thing about this recipe is how clean your preparation is. We start tying the sirloin so that the fillets then maintain their round shape and brown it on the outside in a very hot pan with a pinch of oil. While browning, mix the ingredients in the soy, honey and mustard marinade in a cup.

Once the meat is browned, the cover with the mixture or marinade and store it in a roasting bag in the oven, also pouring the rest of the liquid mainly composed of soy sauce. We close the bag and roast it in the oven at 180º for 40 minutes.

If you want the most cooked meat inside you can use a probe or thermometer or lengthen cooking up to 50 minutes. In any case, despite the rosy inside, the meat is well cooked after the golden browning and cooking inside the bag, which during the process will swell as a result of the vapors.

While the meat is roasting, we can prepare a simple garnish by chopping a onion in julienne and potatoes in irregular pieces. After salting the potatoes and adding the aromatic ones, we water with the wine and the oil and cook the potatoes in the oven during the same time as the meat, stirring occasionally.

We serve the meat cut in thick slices with the sauce aside, -very hot- so that those who want the most cooked meat can finish cooking it with the sauce on their plate. Flavor sweet-salty-picantito that brings the sauce to this tender meat is very nice.
