Mothers are the engines of change in the world and these are just some examples

The other day I listened to my friend Leticia in a beautiful public ceremony to comment that she is convinced that the future is going to change the mothers.

I do not know if we are going to be able to change it, but I am also very clear that we are going to try, that we are trying and that we are sure that we are protagonists of that change. Mothers against climate change, mothers against gender-based violence and women and mothers against gender-based discrimination.

Mothers are the engines of change that is undeniable and the news shows every day.

Vital matters for us now, in the present and for our daughters and sons, now when they are girls and boys and in a few years when they are all adults.

Matters that are shaping their lives and that we are the mothers who decided to get into flour given the lack of response from companies, societies and the political class in general.

The war on climate change

I have always liked the strength of small people doing small things in small places but in the end they manage to change the world.

They are a group of mothers in the United States, one day one of them, Vanessa Rule, when she finished watching Al Gore's documentary "An awkward truth" was moved to think about her children and began to think about what she could do.

This is where Mother Out Front was born, an NGO with which they intend to seek solutions against climate change. Vanessa talks about “Instinct to fight for our children” as the engine that moves mothers, grandmothers and some fathers who are part of this project with which they intend a transition without drastic or dramatic ruptures. Small actions that if multiplied in different cities, in different countries can change the world.

"Superheroes" against sexist violence

All women who have to face this violence have a heroic point, they have done it, they have faced it, they have overcome it as women and as mothers and now participate in a campaign that has been launched in Lithuania to make visible this tremendous social problem.

They have dressed what they are "superheroes" to give strength, to set an example to other women who may be suffering from this violence, to show them that you can start a new life out of that hell and you're not alone.

Looking ahead

And there are also women who consider that we must change the future from the present and for that few things better than the education of our children. Educate by example and with case studies, as these teachers do in a kindergarten class. It is a very short video that if you have not seen it is very worth watching ...

First the image that children have internalized and then ... the reality, the reality that shows that things are changing and that you have to open your eyes to see and celebrate them.

The reality that shows that we can do many things among all to improve the lives of our children and to teach them to continue doing so when they are adults, in equality and respecting and protecting the environment, the environment, the planet that ultimately They only lent it to us.
