Three videos about children victims of violence that will not leave you indifferent

Yesterday we echoed terrible numbers. Every five minutes a child dies as a result of violence, one in four suffer physical abuse and throughout their lives one in five girls suffer sexual abuse at some time. In addition, it is estimated that in the last ten years more than one million children have died in armed conflicts.

There are many types of violence against children although sometimes we seem immunized, away from these shocking realities. Therefore, from different fields campaigns are carried out that impact society, so that we do not forget them, so that we do not feel them far away. As we see in these three videos about children victims of violence that will not leave you indifferent.

These are shocking videos, which seem to start in an innocent way, with children who seek help for something everyday, who play, who give free rein to their imagination, who entertain themselves, but who hide a tremendous reality, because often what They want to make these children run away from that reality.

The first video is part of a UNICEF campaign against child violence in the United Kingdom, which takes us to the imaginary world of a child who lives immersed in war, surrounded by explosions, death and violence. A situation that thousands of children live every day in areas that are in conflict.

The second video is also from UNICEF and shows us how a child who suffers abuse wants to disappearHe wants to be a piece of furniture so as not to be a victim of the violence that he knows awaits him when his father comes home. It seems that he is playing quietly in his room, but in the end we understand that he is in a situation that thousands of children in the world also live every day: children who play to be invisible.

Finally, the third is an animated video of the Inter-American Children's Institute in which it is appreciated how children who suffer abuse will continue to exercise it later, perpetuating that violence. And we see it through a shocking situation: fragile and lacking children who mistreat their dolls. Therefore, they ask "treat me like a child". Isn't that what all the little ones deserve? Shouldn't they hug and kiss their dolls instead of hitting them because they get mad at them?
