This is the life of Nadya Suleman, who was the mother of the world's most famous octillizos

We all remember the media case of Nadya Suleman, the American woman who gave birth to eight babies in 2009. In Babies and More we echoed at some point how her life was after giving birth and the economic and psychological problems that He admitted to being facing.

Eight years after the birth of those babies, Nadya has changed her identity and lives happily with her 14 children, sharing everyday scenes of his life on his Instagram account, followed by more than 32,000 people. This is now the life of the California triplets

A very remembered case

At 33, Nadya, a single mother of 6 children born through assisted reproduction, returned to undergo treatment to get pregnant again. At that time, this woman from California (United States) was unemployed and lived with subsidies, so His decision to be a mother again was much criticized.

But the unusual thing about the case came with her pregnancy, because the doctor who attended her, against the stipulated regulations, decided to attend Nadya's request and implant six embryos.

The woman, who confessed that she only wished to have two more children, never thought that the six embryos would get ahead, but not only did they do so, but one of them split into two, resulting in a pregnancy of eight babies. The second that occurred in the United States.

After that, the doctor involved in the fertility treatment was expelled from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Nadya's life became media and a focus of constant criticism from public opinion.

For several years, the woman appeared in different media, posing in magazines, asking for donations to support her children while doing cosmetic operations, and declaring how sorry she felt about her motherhood.

A new life

But over time, Nadya decided to abandon media outlets, focus on her children and give herself and her family a second chance.

And that's how he said it when he opened his Instagram account in October 2014, under the name of Natalie Suleman.

"I think that exceptionally strong people explode like a volcano when they are oppressed for a long time. In January 2009, the media stole my identity. For DESPERATION and SCASEZ to survive and feed my family of 14 children, I sacrificed my sense of self and shamefully adopted a new and unwanted identity: octomom. In March 2013, I LEFT this life meaningless and humiliating and moved my family away from toxic influences before they killed me. And I returned to my roots, I got a I work as a counselor, I focused on my studies to finish the specialization and most importantly, I am following the path that God had planned for me and my family.I pray every day for my persistent work and dedication to all my children to give them the life they deserve.

Since then, Natalie shares in this social network bits of her life as surrendered mother and lover of sport and raw vegan cuisine.

I am so grateful for kind hearted people in this world who take valuable time out of their lives to be thoughtful and considerate towards others. Thank you for the perfect birthday gift. I've been wearing the same workout outfit for years now (detergent lol), and needed a new one but didn't want to waste money 🙈… I have never met you but all the kids and I are so appreciative of your altruistic gestures ! #YesTodayIsMyBirthday #AndOfCourseMyWayToCelebrateIsAtTheGymAfterTheKidsGoToSleep #FitMom 💪🏽

There is such a dichotomy between how I raised my teenagers (who are busy as usual lol) compared to the little 8. Being a permissive / indulgent parent to my oldest ones (without proper structure and discipline), inadvertently created kids who are less than grateful (although loving and caring). I learned from my mistakes (incorrect parenting style) and adequately incorporated consistent structure and discipline mixed with unconditional love and acceptance in raising the little kids. This combination of love and discipline has shaped them into the most grateful human beings I've ever known. I have truly been blessed. 🙏🏼

"There is a difference between how I raised my teenage children (who are busy as usual, haha) and how I am raising the eight little ones. With my elders I was a permissive and forgiving mother, without proper firmness and discipline, and raised very young children. ungrateful, though loving and caring. I learned from my mistakes and the wrong parenting style, and with the little ones I incorporated firmness and discipline mixed with unconditional love and acceptance. This combination of love and discipline has made them the most grateful human beings that I've met. I've really been blessed with them. "

One of the family traditions my kids and I created is called "family fun night." We dedicate every Saturday night to spending quality time together… playing board games (the little kids are attempting to teach me how to play chess), watching scary movies (The Shining is our favorite 🙈), or documentaries, and having educational and cognitively stimulating discussions. I get asked often, "where are your older kids?" While the 10 youngest kids and I engage in quality family time, my teens are either "gaming" or at a friends house and "cringe" at our tradition lol. I chose to post this particular picture of us eating popcorn to share about a kind, caring, and extremely thoughtful lady, who has followed the kids and I for years. This warmhearted human being, whom I have never met, mailed every one of my children a special gift for my octuplets birthday. She wrote me an emotionally supportive letter and explained how she hoped we would enjoy the games and popcorn maker she sent for family fun night. She expressed how she hoped the clothes fit properly as she didn't know the kids sizes. She did not have to devote valuable time from her life to do this. She did not have to send any gifts let alone 14! This amazing woman taught me something I believe God wanted me to remember, particularly after being hurt by humanity far too many times over the years… that human beings are inherently good. There are far more good individuals in this cruel world than scornful. Thank you. Thank you for your kindness; thank you for your compassion; thank you for your words of encouragement and loving support. The kids and I are so grateful to you.

Images of her little ones dressed up for Halloween, playing in the park, playing sports with her mother or celebrating Thanksgiving are common in Natalie's Instagram account, which also sometimes shares bits of her past life, her childhood and the first Months of her eight babies.

My mom was watching over us then, and I believe is watching over us now. ❤️ # OurGuardianAngel #LoveLivesInYourHeartForever

Fortunately, time has been calming the life of this multi-mother, who goes out of her way for her children who seem to be growing happy and surrounded by love. We are very happy for Natalie and her big family!
