The mother in the picture is Jahan Taab, who is 22 years old and was taking the exam in Daikundi province in Afghanistan. In a certain moment, her baby began to cry, so she sat on the floor and started breastfeeding, while continuing to answer the test.

According to information from Buzzfeed, it was Yahya Erfan, one of the people who was watching the exam, who took the picture during it. He comments that it was something incredible and he felt compelled to take a picture of him, and that in addition, the students around her were sympathetic and none of them cared that she moved from her seat to feed her baby.
In Afghanistan, life is not easy for mothers and children. Between child poverty and machismo, the opportunities and supports for a woman - especially one who is already a mother - to continue her university studies, are practically nil. And that is also one of the reasons why photography has gone viral and has received thousands of positive comments.
It is a powerful and impressive image, which not only captures a natural moment between mother and son, despite being on a college entrance exam.
