Vaccinate them or not against the flu

The feeling is that there is a kind of suspicion towards flu vaccine, and in some cases its effectiveness is even questioned. There has even been controversy among experts about vaccinate children or not.

Some believe that all children should be immunized, while others believe that, in principle, only risk groups such as children with asthma, immunosuppressants or children with lung or heart disease should be vaccinated. Of course, in each case, the evaluation must be done by the pediatrician.

As a third position, it could be supplied, for example, to children who go to daycare because of the high risk of infection or to those who spend a lot of time with their grandparents, because they could easily infect them. Just as it could also be useful for children who spend the whole winter one day. Children under 9 years old should be given an injection and given a second booster a month. That is why many parents hesitate to do so. But a vaccine in the form of a nasal spray that will be a good alternative to that problem is in the US testing phase.

Perhaps, as in my case, confusion is only a product of misinformation. It is best to remove all doubts by consulting with the pediatrician.
