Veronica Robinson a British mother attended a television show explaining and claiming why she breastfeeds his nine-year-old daughter.
Veronica apparently weaned her eldest daughter when she was five, the girl asked for her ninth birthday to be loved again. The youngest daughter Elizah is almost eight years old and does not want to stop breastfeeding. "I don't want to be weaned, I want to be loved forever," said the little girl.
Veronica, who is also the director of an alternative education magazine called “The Mother,” expressed in the British Channel 4 Extraordinary Breastfeeding program her decision to defy the convention and extend breastfeeding for her daughters at such an advanced age. Her girls think that it is totally normal to ask for a breast in a store. The mother said that “when they are babies, many people are uncomfortable, but when they are big girls and despite being discreet, people are disgusted and look at us badly” .
The world health organization recommends that children should be weaned by the age of two and everyone has the belief that the child should be forced to leave the breast. While many people in the United Kingdom consider breastfeeding a rare custom beyond two years, in other cultures they see it as bad to prolong breastfeeding, said the interviewee.
I don't see a nine-year-old son breastfeeding. I think that each stage of child development must be overcome by another that allows it to fend for itself. Taking a breast as a baby at the age of nine can hide more psychological reasons than feeding for both the mother and the daughter.
