Negative food advertising in children's hours

One of the concerns already mentioned but still present in our country is overweight and obesity, there are several initiatives to combat these problems that are especially affecting children.

Little can be done by the way, if the television policy on certain ads does not change, up to 56% of the advertising that is emitted through this medium during the time slot of the scarce children's programming refers to soft drinks, sweets and snacks, never better said, “they get them in the eyes”.

The Organization of Consumers and Users denounces the relationship between these foods and the problems of overweight and obesity, the truth is that it is quite incomprehensible that those who are responsible for regularizing television advertising have not taken action on the matter. Food is a serious issue and sometimes it is not easy to make children understand, because it will be more difficult if we find so little support on television.

A good course of action would be to promote, at least during the children's time slot, healthy foods and habits, instead of sweets, snacks or soft drinks, but interestingly, along with healthy habits campaigns, these advertisements have increased.

Advertising influences our children, this is evident, and therefore, everything that can directly or indirectly be a risk to children must be seriously supervised.
