NGOs in question, does Intervida take advantage of altruism?

Many of the people who feel moved by the precarious situation that many children are going through, especially from the third world, make the decision to collaborate or help in the best way they can, in this case, they participate in campaigns aimed at sponsor one of those children. For a small economic amount per month, it is guaranteed that the conditions of the child are improved, it ensures their education, health or nutrition.

A news has caused impact and disappointment among many of the people who have collaborated with NGOs, apparently the Intervida Spanish Non-Governmental Organization, according to research carried out for 3 years, could have been diverting funds for children to companies for purposes lucrative Now NGOs are in question and are looking for possible irregularities in the intervention especially Intervida. Several tens of millions of euros transferred from Spain to various accounts in Peru, were allegedly diverted and allocated to interests other than the interests of children. The movements of the money were perfectly credited until they reached the accounts of the South American country, once there, it was withdrawn without properly documented the operation, so it is not known for sure if it was intended for food and educational collaborations of the children or supposed real estate businesses.

The Spanish prosecutor wants to clarify the situation and therefore, their representatives will travel to Peru to expedite investigations and find out who withdrew the funds. For its part, Intervida claims its honesty and good work and argues for total transparency in its accounts.

Now we make a small reflection, in our opinion Intervida is a laudable organization in which many of its members are honest people who seek to help children with a precarious situation. This does not mean that some rotten apple may be in the NGO, the performance of an entire humanitarian organization cannot be condemned for the performance of a corrupt member, although in this case its existence has not been demonstrated at the moment.
