The hope of obtaining 100% of the cure for childhood cancer is present

Currently up to 76% of cases of cancer in children are treated and raffled successfully. Years ago, suffering from this disease was practically a death sentence. Fortunately there is little left to achieve 100% effectiveness in the cure against cancerAlthough notorious progress has been made in recent years, it is not yet sufficient, as long as the total cure is not achieved, we will continue to suffer from children suffering from cancer and wishing that 24% of negative possibilities does not loom over them.

Childhood cancer covers a lot, as Dr. Joseph Sánchez de Toledo says, of the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Service of the Vall d'Hebrón Hospital (Barcelona), when a child suffers from cancer, the whole family suffers, the whole family sick.

Everyone comes to mind, a child deserves to live life, it is not fair for them to die so young, it is not fair for a father to bury his son, it should always be the opposite. Medicine advances, statistics reflect that in the 80s, 54% of cases of childhood cancer were exceeded, in the 90s 75% was reached and finally, at the beginning of this century the data reflects up to 76% of healing.

Although the cure for this disease has increased by 22%, it gives us the impression that a break appears during the last decade, to the data we refer, 21% more achievements of the 80s to the 90 and only 1% of the 90s to the present.

Cancer is currently the second cause of infant mortality in developed countries, one of the objectives for which specialists are currently working is to reduce the side effects of treatments that are applied against the disease, although this objective is very important and It fits within the manifesto “Our challenge… to live!” of the Spanish Federation of Parents of Children with Cancer, it is also very important that research be enhanced.

We hope that on a not too distant day, we can finally know the news that no child will die as a result of cancer.
