The parliamentary group ERC has agreed with the PSOE the increase of 1,000 euros in the provision of single payment for birth or adoption introduced by the Spanish Government last July, the well-known "baby check". Up to 3,500 euros may be paid by mothers (or fathers, depending on the case) in the case of a single-parent family, large family, family with low income or in case of disability of the child's birth. In addition, they have agreed that these benefits are free of income tax.

Set a minimum limit of 11 thousand euros of family income in relation to aid for families without resources, the retroactive nature of the benefit until January 1 of this year, and the guarantee of the tax exemption of family aid of the Administrations Publics related to the birth, adoption, reception or care of minor children.
