Child health insurance of the US SCHIP program can get ahead

It seems that the pressures have succeeded in beating President George W. Bush (although he does not want to acknowledge it), since he has just accept the economic increase of the free medical coverage program for poor American children. On October 3, in the post In the US, more than 9 million children do not have health insurance, the guilty George W. Bush, we explained that the US president refused to give the program a free start because it indicated that it was an irresponsible program . He gave no alternative and felt no regrets for the thousands of children who, due to life's circumstances, could not access medical coverage.

Today it has been announced that the project is moving forward, the US president has given freeway to 35,000 million dollars that will be invested for five years, but under conditions. The US Congress must modify the initial proposal because of the problems that, according to the president, would disrupt the health system, leaving many children with the private coverage program, to go to the government. We deduce that many needy families who do the impossible to maintain medical coverage for their children, would go to government coverage and thus would not have that economic burden. This conditioned aid should not be accepted and less so if the economic factor is taken into account exclusively. As we said in the aforementioned post, millions of dollars are wasted on fruitless actions, so why not improve the quality of life of poor American children?

Bush argues that even wealthy families (who earn up to $ 83,000 a year) would be eligible for the program, a ridiculous excuse, just put a cap on income and verify them to grant help. Well, that they study a model similar to the Spanish Social Security, that just because they are Spanish, they already take care of your medical services.

Anyway, we believe that the program will move forward, some things may have to be touched up, but the children will be taken care of.
