This year the city council of Madrid offers us one more opportunity for all our wishes to be fulfilled. We can try our luck and approach the Retiro Park where the "Tree of desires".
It consists of a hollow metal structure 30 meters high that wants to be filled thanks to all the wishes of people who want to participate. Desires are deposited in the tree through balloons that carry within our desire written. On January 6 at six in the afternoon, for the Magi to make them a reality, the tree canopy will open, letting all the balloons escape to the sky.
It is guarded by seven magic elves. The gardeners of this special tree and its giant snails give away the colored balloons and pencils and so we just have to write a dream. For people who can not approach the Retreat and want to send their wishes, they can do so by mobile message (sending the word I want a space and text to 5195) or on the website www.elarboldelosdeseos.es. Today, there are 2239 wishes requested and want to reach fifty thousand.
The first to deposit his wish was the mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, who asked for Madrid "The 2016 Olympic Games" (hopefully it will be fulfilled). I've already asked for mine!
