Moon eclipses and the sex of babies

The beliefs surrounding natural phenomena and their effect on babies are innumerable.

That if the full moon leads to births, that if a lunar eclipse are born more boys than girls or if the eclipse causes abortions.

Of course, these popular legends they have no scientific foundation. With regard to the influence of the moon, studies have been conducted and have not found any relationship between the phases of the moon and the births of babies.

If we talk about eclipses of the moon, so far it has not been shown that they are related to the sex that the baby will have. Some believe that if the embryo is already formed on eclipse day it will be a boy, while otherwise it will be a girl.

As you will know the sex of the baby is defined by the genetic load of the sperm at the time it fertilizes the egg, so that has nothing to do with the position of the planets in space.

There are also false myths that relate the eclipse of the moon to abortions, making the night of the eclipse some women use copper or red underwear "to protect themselves."

As you can see, the sex of the baby, his day of birth and abortions are not in the hands of the moon. What does influence, and much, is to worry about having a healthy pregnancy by taking folic acid from before conception, adopting healthy habits and ignoring unfounded myths.
