"The speck of dust" is a collection of musical tales edited by Agruparte Producciones in which it is intended that recipients, especially children, appreciate both the stories read and the music that accompanies them.
This weekend I have been given a few copies of these disc-books especially aimed at children, and the truth is that they have been very interesting. In CD size (13x14 cm.), It includes the story with hard covers, color illustrations and the CD.
The recordings follow a method of didactic concerts for the whole family, and the music is of various styles, from classics better known as Francis Poulenc to others more unknown but equally interesting. In the collection there are classic titles such as "The Brave Little Tailor" or the immortal "Peter and the Wolf" by Prokofiev.
I highlight the CD "Piccolo, Saxo y company", by the French composer André Popp, who created these characters in 1956 to enhance the love of classical music in children and help them distinguish the instruments of different musical families.
The CDs of the musical story include music with storytelling and music without text. Besides, they carry a folding booklet, a small teaching guide to make the most of all the possibilities of each title.
In total they carry 26 titles published In this collection, although due to the success of the proposal, which is even published in other languages, new recordings are released every year.
