Noguays, cartoons for integration and solidarity

Today I talk about some peculiar cartoons that bet on education in values such as equality, integration and solidarity while entertainment and fun. The "Noguays" are cartoons aimed at children between 4 and 10 years old which have five friends as protagonists.

They are Gio, a brilliant blind student; Dido, friendly and joker, with Down syndrome; Yiyo, nature lover, sensitive and always in love; Nana, who in a wheelchair is the best athlete; and Bu, who is the most creative of the group and is deaf-mute. Each chapter deals with current and more frequent topics than we often assume.

The characters will face everyday situations with current language and a final moral. Bullying, racism or xenophobia are some of the issues we find, although at the moment only two chapters can be seen from the web.

The objective of this project is to stimulate an autonomous life and eliminate the barriers that prevent or hinder the full social integration of children with disabilities.

The Noguays portal is fully accessible, allowing you to modify the size of the text as much as people with visual disabilities need. The page also offers games to exercise memory, forums to create a small community and news, in addition to the cartoon series which we hope will soon have new chapters.
