When should you start taking the baby from the crib to the floor?

We are in a particularly protectionist society with attention to babies. We have a hard time taking risks because we do not want for our children more than pleasure and well-being.

But this laudable thought can lead us to impoverish the experiences of newborns by sacrificing them to the possibility that they are uncomfortable or we can favor a pathology (that they take cold, for example).

One of the decisions I consider most important regarding the development of the young child is When to get him out of the crib?. I propose a reflection on this fact.

My suggestion is to remove the child from contexts that limit movement as soon as possible. These contexts are: the cradle, the hooligan, the stroller ... I understand that there are times when we need the child to be protected without giving him 100% attention but there are many others in which we can leave him the freedom to move .

From what age ?. Well, like everything, it depends. Between two and three months, the baby already begins to experiment with gross motor skills (the great movements of arms and legs) and it is from this moment when we have to think about the convenience of leaving him "court" to exercise his abilities .

Aspects to take into account about the precaution. Of course, the safest place to experience is the ground. Avoid the bed, the sofa and any other element that has limited surface and also is at a height that intensifies the severity of accidents. We must also reflect on the cold that can be done or the risk that the brother may harm him (for example).

In conclusion. The approach I propose is offer a safe and unlimited environment so that you can implement your capabilities from the first moment you can.
