I've run into Flickr by chance with a beautiful selection of baby portraits from a century ago I wanted to share with you.
They are photos of children from an American colony that lived in Jerusalem at the beginning of the last century, between 1905 and 1913.
In addition to recreational, it is curious to observe the habits and customs of that time that are reflected in the images. What catches my attention the most are the clothes and especially the strollers blew my mind. They are very pretty, but certainly not very functional. Of course, a hundred years ago they didn't have to worry about putting them in the trunk of the car.
Leaving those differences aside, the question I ask myself is, would those children be happier than now? Of course, seeing the photos we realize that children do not need so many things to be happy, after all, both a hundred years ago and now they continue having fun the same things as throwing belly in the sand or playing with a full bowl of water.
