The crisis, also the enemy of childhood obesity

Many bad habits that today's society has adopted are the culprits that childhood obesity continues to grow by leaps and bounds. But as if that were not enough, the economic crisis has also become an enemy of childhood obesity, according to experts.

The lack of exercise, sedentary life, the video game console, the television, not sharing the family table are some of the ingredients that predispose to childhood obesity, to which the lack of resources is added.

They blame the cut in family spending that families consume more pre-cooked or fast food foods, a diet that makes it easier for children to gain weight.

However, I think the problem is not the expense itself, but the poor choice of food. That is to say, that the fault is not really of the crisis but of not knowing how to buy and cook in a healthy way, or not being able due to lack of time.

A package of lentils is not more expensive than a fast food menu, but it takes time to prepare them.

As much as they are found guilty of childhood obesity, I believe that the real fault lies in the lack of time, which we should devote to our children, their care and food.

Unfortunately, the rush and skinny pockets end up paying us a bill in the health of our children.
