The association Criar con Apego organizes this year the first “Breastfeeding and Women's Empowerment Conference” with the collaboration of the Equality Area of the City Council of Malaga They will take place on September 10, 11 and 12.
The Conference opens with a day dedicated to the Empowerment of Women, in which through a talk and a workshop it is intended to convey what this concept means: how women are able to rediscover themselves, learn to be valuable from the Feminine and position themselves as strong and powerful people, owners of their decisions and their lives.
This conference also includes the third edition of the Breastfeeding Knowledge Update Workshop, which aims to offer updated training to health professionals who regularly care for nursing women, as well as people who perform, or are interested in performing , advice in a breastfeeding support group. There will also be a specific workshop on Breastfeeding Counseling, which will provide basic communication skills to people who perform this type of advice.
To close the conference, you can enjoy a family talk about respectful parenting in which the importance of the first years will be addressed as the basis of the development in children of positive self-esteem and a healthy and linked emotional life.
The talks and workshops will be conducted by María Fuentes Caballero, a doctor and breastfeeding consultant, by Helena Herrero Martínez, an IBCLC certified breastfeeding nurse and advisor and by Rosa Jové Montanyola, a child psychologist and a breastfeeding consultant.
