Parent Handbook: application on pediatrics for iOS

A resource that can be very interesting for parents of young children is Parent Handbook: an application on pediatrics for iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod).

It has been developed by pediatrician Bruno Nievas, who we had the pleasure of having in Babies and more, with the intention of bring pediatrics closer to parents. It contains more than 450 pediatric topics explained in simple language but at the same time well detailed, from when the baby is newborn until adolescence. It includes information about the child's normal development, feeding, symptoms that may concern us, allergies, frequent or serious illnesses.

The index is separated by themes, ages and specialties, but it also has a search engine to locate any term contained in the application. I have downloaded it to investigate it and the truth is that the information is very complete and accessible. For example, if we introduce "flu" all the results related to it, such as asthma, vaccines and of course, a thorough explanation of what the flu is. Each explanation is accompanied by images and audio, if instead of reading the information we prefer to listen to it.

In addition, it offers the opportunity to follow the development of weight and height of the child through the growth charts and to know the body mass index. You just have to enter age, size and weight and we find the percentile in the table.

Many times we go online to investigate pediatric issues, and sometimes we get even more confused. He Parent Handbook It is a resource that for little money, only 0.79 euros, can be available to parents (iOS users, of course) and allows us to be more informed in a truthful and simple way of a lot of aspects related to the health of sons.
