A woman developed a fetus in her intestines for six months

Sometimes news appears that you don't know if you are serious about looking very unlikely, and this is the case with this news, which explains that a woman developed a fetus in her intestines for six months.

It happened in Romania, where a 31-year-old woman got pregnant without knowing about a baby who instead of growing up in her uterus ended up doing so in her intestines.

Apparently, the woman, called Nicoleta Carja, went to the hospital after feeling belly pains and fainting. It was in the Emergency Department of the Galati City Hospital, where doctors discovered the dead fetus in his abdomen.

The woman was in the eighth month of pregnancy and the fetus had been dead for two months, so it developed until six months. Once discovered by ultrasound, the diagnosis was “abdominal extrauterine pregnancy” and a C-section was performed to remove the fetus.

According to Dr. Calin, from the aforementioned hospital:

It is an extremely rare case, which has been possible due to the migration of the fertilized embryo from the uterine tubes to the area behind the uterus, between the intestines.

It seems that pregnancy was possible because in the abdomen several unusual conditions had to be added that eventually allowed it to function as an artificial uterus, the fetus being fixed in the intestines of the woman who, logically, had menstruation and did not present any symptoms of pregnancy.

It is a very strange case and doctors say that the woman has been saved by a miracle:

If under the weight of the fetus the entire framework had been broken, with the intestines and veins, the woman would have died of bleeding.

Of course, as I say, I had never heard anything similar, since the fetus developed until six months, at which time a fetus has an already considerable size. The worst of the news must be, in addition to the risk that the woman has run, the psychological impact of suddenly knowing that you have been gestating a baby, that he has been in your intestines, that he died two months ago and that, had he been in the womb, in a month he would have been born (supposedly).
