Adaptation of the story "Los Chivos Chivones"

We have already talked about the tricks to tell a story well and call the attention of the little ones. And so, Carmen Salvador has adapted the story of "Los Chivos Chivones" to make it reach the little ones in another way.

The plot of the story is as follows: three goats (one large, one medium and one small) want to cross a bridge to eat grass, but the ogre that inhabits the bridge will not let them pass so easily. Thus, the three goats must manage to deceive the ogre and cross the bridge.

The story of "Los Chivos Chivones" is found in the Makakiños collection, from the Kalandraka publishing house. These books are aimed primarily at children with special educational needs, such as children with cerebral palsy, generalized developmental disorders, or communication disorders.

Mainly it is addressed to that type of children's audience because the story's drawings are supported by a System of Pictographic Symbols for Communication or SPC System. This system clearly represents the words and concepts that are most used in communicating on a daily basis.

That idea of adapt the story of "Los Chivos Chivones" It seems to me a very good idea, since in this way we can go innovating in relation to bringing books to children with some kind of special educational need.
