As you know, we are dedicating from the beginning of this season, a weekly theme to talk about spring issues: we have learned to make little houses for birds and pinwheels, we have equipped ourselves for the first excursions of good weather, and we even have our Small home garden.
But today the proposal is much simpler, and much more adorable, because it consists of save flowers and aromatic of those who like to pick up the kids so much when we go out to the field, and put them to good use so they don't end up in the bin. The first thing I must tell you is that we will always go out to the field equipped with (among other things) small scissors so that we do not have to root the plants we collect, and also with small clean sachets so that the flowers do not mix with the remains of the sandwich or get entangled in the caps we carry in our backpack.
The plants that have more uses for homemade crafts are the flowers and aromatic, and a house with children where there is almost no room for anything is not the ideal place to dry them, but surely we manage them:
We can unite them forming corsages and tie them with wool or dovecote thread, then we will hang them upside down, for this you need a space that is not commonly used because otherwise they can get in the way. To fasten them we can use hooks to hang pictures.
It is also possible dry them horizontally on newspaper, in a room if possible sunny so that they have heat and take less time to dry, and if possible without humidity (the bathroom, kitchen and the laundry room are excluded).
It is also possible to press them by placing them in the middle of newspaper, blotting paper or kitchen napkins and keeping them between the pages of a thick book on which we will put weight.
Use of dried flowers and plants
Sure you can come up with other ideas, but:
You can fill cotton bags to perfume drawers and bathroom.
You can get a beautiful centerpiece carefully sticking the flower stalks in a green gardening cork and placing this in a wicker basket.
You can decorate the hall with flowers and aromatic plants inside a vase, it will be very beautiful.
You can also make corsages to put them in the corners of your favorite paintings, and you will give a renewed touch to the house.
