The baby who was born with one foot in the brain

I had never heard anything similar, because when we talk about malformations we usually think that at least they are located in the right area. When it is said that a child has six fingers, it is understood that after the fifth comes the unexpected, but if it is said that a child has three feet, we will hardly think that the third foot is on the head.

This is what happened in Colorado, USA, where a baby was born with one foot in the brain Now almost four years ago (I talk about it now, because it was yesterday when I met the case). The doctors were surprised as much as I (and as much as you, I imagine) to see, in full intervention, that what they were removing was not a tumor, but a foot (there are photos, but out of respect I put them in the body of the entrance and not in this introduction).

The operation was done three days after birth, because in the tests they saw a stain that it looked like a big brain tumor. When they opened they saw that there was a very developed foot, a thigh and a small hand (in a more initial state of development).

The doctors said at the time that the child would have a normal life, although at that time he suffered a partial paralysis on the right part of his body. Now, today, we know that Sam Esquibel is in good health.

Most likely, they were the members of a second baby who, things of fate, failed to move forward. It is a phenomenon we have talked about on other occasions, called "fetus in fetu". For whatever reason, for some problem inside, with the mother or on the whim of nature, part of that second baby continued to develop within the first, specifically in his head.

One of two, or nature is much more imperfect than we think or our influx of devastating humans has left it upset. We only have to remember the cases of the white-blooded baby, for example, or the girl who was born with four arms and four legs, to realize this.
