Dragging cans so that the Magi don't pass by

Can you imagine what annoyance if the Kings forget to pass through our city? The children of Algeciras want make sure that the Magi will not pass by and do so by dragging thousands of cans through the town of Cádiz.

We do not know which means of transport Your Majesties will have chosen to reach Algeciras, but they will surely be attracted by this noisy ride. The children at 13 hours every 5 January drag rows of cans on the ground, with the subsequent rumble.

It is a unique custom in Spain with more than a century of history, and thanks to which empty cans are also recycled becoming the most diverse toys and gadgets.

Legend has it that with the noise, the children tried to get the attention of the Kings to visit their homes and not lose sight of the fog produced by the giant of the Botafuegos mountain. As in previous years, today more than 40,000 children, parents and grandparents have come to this happy concentration.

A nice way to "give the can" to the Magi so they don't forget to go through Algeciras. Hopefully it will give them time to reach every corner and that no child is left without their surprise! Be good and happy kings night.
