With this beautiful craft children will learn how a clock works and differentiate the hours

In Learning Ideas Grades K 8 we are taught to make a very practical clock to help our children learn the hours. Nowadays there are books on the market that can fulfill the function of differentiating the fractions of time in an hour.

But I think that by doing it at home we can have a lot of fun, and the children's manual skills are enhanced. So let's see how we make this watch. It is a craft suitable for children of five, six or seven years.

Necessary materials:

Two cardboard plates of different diameter and color (one larger than the other), numbers in foam (although we can also draw and cut them in colored cardstock), some foam to make the hands, individual fastener (bookbinder), permanent pen or marker, scissors and white glue

How we make our watch:

First we take the smallest plate and arrange the clock hours by gluing them with a tail, we calculate the center of the diameter and we stick the hands attached with the binder there.

Our craftsmanship will be perfect when, in addition to sticking one plate over the other, leaving the differentiated edge, write in the largest five-minute intervals (5, 10, 15, 20, ...) that will help children better understand the Calculation of the passage of time using a clock.

Now we have it, and now we can play to learn the hours with the kids. I leave you with this beautiful version to celebrate Valentine's Day with the children.
