As with adults, children on vacations change their usual routines. They are more relaxed, we tend to be more flexible with schedules, and as usual, these changes also affect the feeding of our children. There is children who gain or lose weight in summer.

It is also possible that the heat makes them lose their appetite, or that they are so entertained in their games that they even miss their mealtime. My older daughters go down to the pool of the urbanization and ask to eat when the roar of the guts warns them that it is already 5 in the afternoon.

Relaxing routines is not bad. It is necessary to have a few days a year in which (almost) everything is allowed, provided it is healthy. Nothing happens to eat something "worse" or give a taste, but in an order that then allows you to return to the usual routine without trauma. There are no prohibited foods, but responsible consumption.

The key is to try to enjoy the holidays without suffering a large variation in weight. Try to eat a diet similar to what you have at home, with healthy snacks, avoiding excess fats and too copious meals. As well as encouraging the practice of exercise, but not a daily walk, a walk, or cycling.

On the other hand, if you see that the child performs a lot of exercise, compensate with energy foods such as carbohydrates, cereals, a full breakfast, and healthy snacks.
