Do analytics to children without puncturing them? Each day closer

One of the most horrible situations that we parents experience when we go to the doctor with our children is when they have to puncture them an analytical. They are small, sometimes babies, the vein is not always found at the first time, they do not understand why they are harmed, they cry, they are immobilized so that they are not harmed, they cry more and there are even nurses with little tact that threaten to be left alone and similar stories, of those that are defined as "not to sleep."

It is not a dish of good taste and with them, especially with them, it is when you say that "my mother, with all the advances there are and you still have to draw the blood from the vein to know how a child is." Come on, many of us have come to think that why don't they invent something to make them analytical without puncturing them. Well, that something already exists, so apparently we are each day closer to see.

I am talking about a device that is currently being tested at the Badalona Hospital, which allows an unprinted blood test. This in itself already makes it a very valuable tool, although the news can be even better: the results can be obtained in only 6 minutes.

Come on, imagine that you go to the doctor because your child eats very little and the pediatrician has alarms. Suspect that your child may have anemia and decide to know to what extent he is right. The child is tested and after six minutes they know what their blood iron levels are. I do not say that you have to do it instantly, that logistics is always complicated, but hey, just give them time in one or several days, depending on the urgency of the issue, and the child does not hurt ... I sign anywhere.

The device works through sensors that measure body temperature. From the biochemical changes that occur in the body, the device can check more than 130 blood parameters. They are not all that can be looked at, and surely for many tests it will be necessary to continue clicking, but they are enough for many people and children to save themselves the "happy mosquito".

According to Alejandro Valverde, project manager:

Each chemical reaction that occurs inside the body generates a temperature that is expelled outside. What this device does is measure this temperature and, according to an algorithm, make the calculations for the different parameters.

The system, developed in Russia and Ukraine, is based on aerospace technology and already It has been approved in ten countries.

Now all that remains is for the relevant tests to be completed, to confirm that the results are reliable and for hospitals and health centers to start buying and using them. If you can buy few, I already ask you from here that one, at least one, go for pediatrics, which are the ones who suffer the most.
