This mask to turn your child's face into a bird is very easy, dare you?

I thought you might need a fun complement to the Carnival costume, and looking for, I found this decorated mask. The idea is from MaryLea from Pink and Green Mama, and it is an adaptation of the classic Venetian mask recreating the head of a colorful bird.

If you think you have no ability to trim the base, here you have a simple template to print and (maybe) then adjust the size to your child's head. I have a suggestion to make, and the bottom of the mask would lengthen it a bit, so that it is at the level of the cheek and can be decorated comfortably.

Necessary materials:

  • Cardboard of the color you want for the base of the mask, transparent rubber to thread necklace beads, or black round rubber (in haberdashery), salmon, yellow or orange cardboard for the beak, colored tissue paper, decorative feathers (in craft stores), “jewelry” sticks Small and flat base, scissors, glue stick and white glue.

How do we do it:

First we cut the mask and mark the holes to pass the rubber that holds it to the head. Then we cut a triangle in salmon, yellow or orange, about 8 cm, which folded over itself vertically, and wrinkled, it will form the beak.

At the base of the triangle we fold half a centimeter to be able to glue the nose to the mask (with white tail). And once dry, we can start decorating as children like, most decorative elements can be adhered with uncomplicated bar glue, except jewelry.

Once we have mounted the mask and in conditions to use (everything is dry and does not come off), we make two holes where we have previously marked and pass the rubber, measuring so that I did not rule or squeeze, and knotting the ends.

I think it can be very good, and we will have it done in a couple of hours, what is it pretty?
