My memory of Jorge Arvizu, who at that time did not know who he was, is attached to the slice of bread with Nocilla from the snack he ate while watching television at the Flintstones, to Popeye or to Super Mouse. The Mexican Jorge Arvizu died on March 18, 2014 at 81 years old due to cardiorespiratory insufficiency.
Arvizu left our generation a lot of great interpretations in Spanish of series that went through Spain although dubbed by Latin American actors, it was said then. In addition to the previous ones, he also dubbed the Crazy Bird, Bugs Bunny, Super Agent 86 and Benito Bodoque of Don Gato, of which an example can be seen below in an interview that I found on YouTube.
Jorge Arvizu was born in Celaya, Mexico, in July 1932. Although he did not have a formal education as an actor, and mentions it in the interview, he has been very recognized as actor and dubbing director, producer and writer of cinema and theater.
I have not found part two or part three of the interview although at the end of the four he maintains with Humberto Vélez, doubler of Homer (Homer) Simpson in Mexico, a fun duel of dubbing with many characters:
His technique was based on getting a dubbing that made the voices more consistent with the projected situations and seeing what we remember about his characters you can say he got it. And he knew how to give his characters a lot of life and personality making them eternal.
Rest in peace Jorge Arvizu who we will keep in our childhood memory that tasted like chocolate bread, around the school to do homework, to go down to play the street and to the brontosaurus steak that Pedro Flintstones ate at the beginning of each chapter.
