Some of you are already lucky enough to be on vacation and others will start shortly. And now that the weather forecasts are a little clearer we can think of go to the snow at Easter with the children.
Many are looking forward to putting on skis or snowboards for the last time in the season and although some stations are not 100% (others are closed) or the snow quality is not optimal we are lucky to place ourselves in destinations with many possibilities and most have their lifts underway. No, it's not too late to go skiing.
In addition, there are other snow related activities we can do, from putting on some rackets, getting on a sled (more or less homemade ...), doing battles and snowmen ...
And if finally the climatic conditions make us unable to practice skiing we will find in our mountain destinations many other proposals for active, natural and cultural leisure too, knowing the surrounding towns and cities, for example.
Let's see some proposals of destinations with snow to spend Easter holidays with children. Which one do you prefer?
Andorra with children
The Country of the Pyrenees is a safe bet at any time of the year. The ski resorts (Vallnord and Grandvalira) await us with good snow forecasts for Easter but we cannot miss others Andorra attractions to tour with children.
Its small villages, the Ordino Nature Interpretation Center, the Gel Palace ("Ice Palace") with multiple activities for families, the Caldea spa, the Naturlandia park, the valleys, the lakes ... Much for Discover, don't stay every day on the slopes!
Cerler on vacation with children
Cerler in Huesca is one of my favorite snow destinations. A small and pretty town next to the ski resort or if we prefer, there are more possibilities of accommodation in the town of Benasque, before boarding the port.
We are in the Aragonese Pyrenees, at its highest station (Aramón Cerler), with 74 kilometers of tracks and a captivating landscape. The kids have a great time in the snow garden. In the environment we can enjoy the Hospital de los Llanos, the lakes ... In the Benasque Valley We can also do family hiking, biking, fishing ... and we find multiple leisure options.
Holidays in Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada in Granada It is the preferred snow destination of many of the inhabitants of the southern peninsular half. Also of nature lovers and with many possibilities to know nearby places with great attractions. Sierra Nevada is a National Park and holds a great biological and environmental wealth.
Granada capital is very close and there the essential Alhambra or the Science Park awaits us, which we could well have added to the list of the best museums for children. That, among other visits that we cannot miss.
If we prefer, we can opt for get to know the Alpujarras of Granada, with beautiful villages like Trevélez, Lanjarón, Pampaneira ... The path of the Cahorros de Monachil is another option to do with the kids if the weather smiles at us, among the many hiking options in Sierra Nevada.
As you can see, we have many possibilities. And do not forget to taste the generous tapas of the area and the cuisine of Granada in general.
Most seasons end the season on Monday, April 21, but snow is expected in Sierra Nevada until the beginning of May. We still have time to go to the snow at Easter with the children and enjoy the sport and unique landscapes.
