Internet invoices will inform about the safe access of children

Starting next June Telecom operators invoices will include information on secure access of minors to the network and the controls that parents can apply to guarantee it.

This is a commitment signed by different operators with the public company Red.es, under the Spanish Ministry of Industry. Thus, if at home we receive Internet through Telefónica, Vodafone, ONO, Telecable, Yoigo, Orange or Jazztel, there will be news in the next invoice.

The invoices will emphasize the guarantees offered by the connection, with data on applications and specific content for children in the network, especially those of an educational nature.

You will be informed about different programs that help secure access, or provide information about websites are specific content for children, tips for the proper use of the Network, the processing of personal data ...

Anyway, a necessary information, although I do not know if the invoice is the most appropriate place to place it. Undoubtedly, there is a lot of information missing so that users can make better use of the Internet and know how to transmit to minors a responsible use.

But let's not think that it is an altruistic act by large companies. Why this measure also suits the operators, since one of the problems they have to capture more customers (or extend their stay) is the distrust of families in a safe navigation. This is intended to promote and strengthen user confidence. I wonder if lowering prices would not be easier to increase their users ...
