Cooking with children: egg toast recipe for breakfast

The bites on the toast were my pinch thing

Sundays are days when you usually have breakfast with your family, away from the rush of the week, days when we have breakfast before leaving home. In my family, Sundays have always been breakfast feast days, my mother cooked (and cooks) some breakfasts that looked like real five-star hotel buffets. One of the recipes that I liked most among all the assortment that was on Sundays, were the french toasts. Today I adapted this recipe for cooking and eating with young children: Egg toast recipe for children.

The french toasts They are very typical toasts in the United States, although they are named after French toasts. These hide a long history behind them: it was created by European chefs who wanted to take advantage of the food they had available to feed their families.

The idea came to take advantage of the bread of the previous day, a term known as pain perdu (lost or wasted bread); This bread could be used by moistening it and then heating it. To the traditional recipe, the eggs were added, to give a touch of moisture to the bread and provide protein to the plate.

Actually, French toasts come to be like a kind of Spanish toast but fried with much less oil.

The recipe that I teach you today is far from that of French toasts because it does not include milk or cinnamon but they look very similar and our children will enjoy the same with some as with others.

The first thing to do is consider the kitchen safety for childrenDo not let them approach the stove without being next to us, do not leave sharp knives at your fingertips, etc.

And now we go with the recipe, you will see that it is so easy that anyone who does not know or fry an egg can do it.
